365 days to EMREE 2027: a yield-based study plan for UAE students and interns

KnowMed Team · · 2 min read

EMREE 2027 is roughly a year away. If you are a final-year student or an intern in the UAE, the next twelve months decide whether you enter residency on your first attempt. This post gives you the plan. Why the exam rewards practice over reading EMREE, like the DHA Prometric, DOH Pearson VUE, MOHAP and SHA GP exams, is a single-best-answer MCQ paper. The published EMREE blueprint weights internal medicine at about 20 percent, with obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, surgery and family medicine at about 15 percent each, and psychiatry and public health at about 10 percent each. Most questions test diagnosis, investigations, drug therapy and management, not basic science trivia. Reading a textbook cover to cover spends your hours evenly; the paper does not. Three kinds of topic On knowmed.life every topic is labelled by how often it is asked: • High-yield: asked in almost every paper set, in every exam. Master these first. • Moderate-yield: asked very often. Cover properly and revisit. • Low-yield: cover at least once so nothing on the paper feels unfamiliar. The 90-day plan Days 1–30: high-yield topics only, two to three a day. Read the article, solve every question, follow each wrong answer back to the article. A 50-question mock every week. Days 31–60: add the moderate-yield topics. Two days new material, one day re-solving your previously wrong high-yield questions. Weekly 100-question timed mocks. Days 61–90: low-yield topics once, then rehearsal: two 150-question mocks a week with full review. Final week, nothing new; one last mock three days out, then rest. Why the mocks are built 60/30/10 Every knowmed.life mock, from 50 to 150 questions, is 60 percent high-yield, 30 percent moderate and 10 percent low. That mirrors how marks cluster on the real paper, so your score means something: losing marks on the 60 percent is tomorrow's priority; dropping only low-yield questions means you are close. Start tonight Count back 90 days from your exam date. Create your account, open the high-yield topics, and solve your first 50 questions. Everything you need, 7,000-plus current MCQs, articles behind every explanation, and exam-style mocks, is on knowmed.life.
